The Lodge

The Lodge is the largest cabin at Rustlewood — a spacious 1,600-square-foot, four-bedroom cottage overlooking Planting Ground Lake. Three bedrooms sit on the main level, with a fourth tucked into the lower level with its own view of the water.

The kitchen is large enough to prep a real family meal, with plenty of counter space and seating. There's a 12-foot patio door off the living room that opens onto the lake, original knotty pine that gives the place its warmth, and two lakeside decks to sip your morning coffee.

A one-step entrance off the carpark makes unloading easy. The entryway has plenty of space for hanging coats, stowing wet boots, and dropping beach bags on the way through. New in 2019: a third private bath off the lower-level bedroom.

Off the kitchen, a large deck with a charcoal grill, picnic table, and Adirondack chairs makes for an easy cookout. From there it's a short walk to the sandy beach, the swimming raft, the playground, the fish cleaning house, and the fire pit.

The Lodge offers the space and privacy a larger group needs while putting the resort's amenities right outside the door.
