Following the devastating fire of 2007, Honeymoon Cottage was rebuilt in 2008 — honoring its original design while quietly modernizing the parts that needed it. A downstairs entertainment room and outdoor patio were added; the upstairs remained a place for peace, quiet, and the kind of view that's easy to lose an afternoon to.
Floor-to-ceiling high-end knotty pine on both levels keeps the cottage feeling rustic and warm. Upstairs, lose yourself in a good book with the lake just outside the window. Or run a bath in the old-fashioned claw-foot tub in the upstairs bathroom.
A spiral staircase carries you down to the entertainment room, where sliding glass doors open onto a beautiful outdoor patio with direct beach access. There's an outdoor shower for a quick rinse-down after a day on the water, and two stand-up paddleboards available whenever you'd like them.
The cottage is beautifully furnished and provides every amenity for a real escape — built for couples or small families who want their own quiet corner of the lake.
